Hazel Conzet Survives Hit-and-Run Crash on Louis Krohn Drive Near Sebastopol Road
SANTA ROSA, CA (February 19, 2019) – A 7-year-old girl was hurt Saturday evening when she was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle on Louis Krohn Drive near Sebastopol Road.
A disturbing surveillance footage released to the public showed Hazel Conzet and her 9-year-old brother, Damiion Conzet, running across Louis Krohn Drive. Damiion made it to the sidewalk, however, Hazel was hit by a black two-door sedan, possibly a Mercedes-Benz or BMW model around 5 p.m.
Hazel was captured being catapulted nearly ten feet ahead before yelling, crying and running toward the house.
The driver of the vehicle paused briefly but took off. Authorities are investigating the driver’s whereabouts and are asking the public to call Santa Rosa police at (707) 543-3600 if they know of anything.
Hazel suffered scrapes and bruises in the incident. As far as the driver, he was described as a light-skinned male with a beard, according to Santa Rosa Police. A reward of up to $2,500 is being offered by the Sonoma County Alliance for any information leading to the driver’s arrest.
