GRANADA HILLS, CA – Pedestrian Fatally Hit by Car on Balboa Boulevard Near Highway 118

Man Perishes in Granada Hills Pedestrian Collision

 
GRANADA HILLS, CA (November 26, 2018) – A 70-year-old man was hit and killed by a vehicle Thanksgiving morning on Balboa Boulevard near Highway 118.
 
Los Angeles Police Department Detective Daniel Menesez said the crash took place around 3 a.m. on Balboa Boulevard, just south of Highway 118. The 70-year-old pedestrian was attempting to cross Balboa Boulevard from east to west when he was hit by a southbound 2010 Ford Focus.
 
Menesez further added that the victim was crossing in an area where he should not have, noting there are signs in the area warning pedestrians not to cross. The driver of the Ford waited for authorities to arrive. The aftermath of the collision was not available, but authorities are investigating this crash to learn more.
