1 Dead in Long Beach Pedestrian Accident on 55th Way and Paramount Boulevard

LONG BEACH, CA (March 24, 2024) – Friday night, a 4-year-old girl died in a horrific pedestrian crash on 55th Way and Paramount Boulevard.

The incident happened at around 7:00 p.m. in the area of 55th Way and Paramount Boulevard.

When the officers arrived, they found a 4-year-old girl lying in the roadway. “Officers transported the child to a local hospital while attempting life-saving measures, however, she succumbed to her injuries,” police revealed.

Officers said that the pickup truck was driving eastbound on 55th Way, just west of Paramount Boulevard. Then, it hit the child, who was crossing 55th Way just outside a crosswalk.

After the crash, the 25-year-old male driver of the 2020 Ford F-150 remained at the scene and has been cooperative with the investigation.

Moreover, the authorities do not suspect that speed, distracted driving, or impaired driving played a role in the crash.
