1 Dead in Buena Park Pedestrian Accident on Western Avenue and Fillmore Drive
BUENA PARK, CA (April 13, 2022) – Tuesday morning, a 17-year-old girl died in a pedestrian crash on Western Avenue and Fillmore Drive.
The crash occurred at around 6:05 a.m. on Western Avenue and Fillmore Drive, said Buena Park police Sgt. Chad Weaver.
According to reports, two females walked into the middle of the street to look at something in the road. Apparently, a dead cat had been there since the night before.
As a woman took a step forward to look closer, the other person got hit as she remained behind.
At this time, her identity remains undisclosed due to pending family notification.
Meanwhile, the driver stopped and has been cooperative with the police.
Due to the limited information available, the crash remains under active investigation.
