Child Hit, Injured by Jeep in Phoenix
PHOENIX, AZ (November 14, 2019)—A 9-year-old girl sustained severe injuries Wednesday in a pedestrian accident near North 21st and West Missouri avenues.
The 4:30 p.m. crash drew authorities to the scene. According to police, the Jeep struck the 9-year-old girl as she ran after an ice cream truck. Following the accident, the driver stayed on site and cooperated with the police.
The unidentified child sustained severe injuries, but police believe she’s expected to recover.
Details concerning whether police will cite the driver is undetermined; however, a follow-up investigation is underway.
