13-Year-Old Girl Hospitalized after Crash on North Chester Avenue in Bakersfield

Bakersfield, CA (January 17, 2023) – On Tuesday, a 13-year-old girl sustained minor injuries in a crash on Chester Avenue.

The crash in Bakersfield happened on January 17 near Belle Avenue.

CHP said a vehicle was traveling on North Chester Avenue near Belle Avenue when a girl walked onto North Chester Avenue in front of the vehicle.

Moreover, the vehicle was traveling at 35 mph and the girl was walking outside a crosswalk.

Investigators said alcohol and drugs were not a factor in the crash.
