Accident on Hill Avenue and Adams Avenue Leaves Gene Butler Dead
Orange Cove, CA (December 24, 2020) – On Wednesday, 81-year-old Gene Butler died in a deadly rollover crash on Hill Avenue and Adams Avenue.
The fatal accident happened at about 5:30 p.m. in Fresno County.
The California Highway Patrol said the victim did not see the stop sign and went into the intersection without stopping.
Just then, he was struck by another car on the side.
As a result, the victim’s car struck a dry drainage ditch and overturned. Its driver sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
On the other hand, the rescuers took both the driver and the passenger of the other car to Community Regional Medical Center.
They sustained moderate injuries.
Meanwhile, authorities do not suspect alcohol and/or drugs to be a factor in the crash.
The CHP did not release the identity of the deceased.
