Motorcyclist Gary Wilson Dies in Temecula Collision
TEMECULA, CA (November 19, 2018) – A Murrieta man was killed Friday afternoon in a motorcycle crash involving a big rig and a minivan on the 15 Freeway near Rancho California Road.
Gary Wilson was identified as the 33-year-old motorcyclist who perished in the multi-vehicle accident.
The incident unfolded at approximately 4:10 p.m. when Wilson was riding between the left and middle-left lanes of the 15 Freeway. A minivan, as well as a big rig, was traveling in the same direction when Wilson’s motorcycle and the minivan collided under unknown circumstances. Wilson then lost control and veered toward the middle-right lane where he crashed into the big rig’s left-rear axle, ejecting him from his bike and onto the right lane.
Cal Fire responded and declared Wilson, of Murrieta, dead at the scene.
It was unclear whether the 38-year-old Camp Pendleton woman driving the minivan and the 56-year-old Corona man operating the big rig were harmed.
An investigation of this crash is underway.
We’d like to express our deepest condolences to the loved ones of Gary Wilson.
