Gary Douglass Hospitalized after Car Crash in Spokane Valley

 
SPOKANE VALLEY, WA (December 14, 2018) – On Friday night, 64-year-old Gary Douglass was injured in an accident on East Trent Avenue.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash occurred around 9:00 PM near North Fancher Road.
 
As per reports, a 2008 Chevrolet Aveo was heading west on Trent Avenue approaching North Fancher Road. The vehicle failed to yield right of way and struck a 2001 Ford Explorer who was traveling east on Trent Avenue.
 
The driver of the Aveo fled the scene and has not yet been identified or found.
 
Paramedics arrived at the scene of the accident and transported Douglass, who was a passenger of the Explorer, to the Sacred Heart Medical Center. Officers stated he suffered non-threatening injuries. Authorities claimed that the driver of the Explorer, 55-year-old Marian Fleming, sustained injuries, but was not transported to the hospital.
 
The Aveo was found abandoned a block away from the scene of the incident, according to officers. No further details have been released, as the investigation continues.
