Longview Pick-Up Truck Crash Kills Gary Backman of Cathlamet
Longview, WA (July 03, 2021) – On Friday, 70-year-old Gary Backman of Cathlamet died in State Route 4 solo-car crash.
The authorities responded to the accident scene at minutes after 8:30 a.m. near Coal Creek Road.
Reports said a pick-up truck crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a traffic signal pole before it rested on an island.
Unfortunately, Backman, the passenger died at the scene.
On the other hand, rescuers took the driver to a hospital for sustaining injuries.
