Pedestrian Dies in Fullerton Crash
FULLERTON, CA (January 31, 2019) – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a Metrolink train Tuesday afternoon near Euclid Street and West Valencia Drive.
According to the Fullerton Police Department, the victim was struck between the Fullerton and Buena Park train stations around 3 p.m.
Fullerton police Sgt. Carin Wright said the victim was responsive and alive as paramedics began life-saving measures on him, but he later died at an area hospital.
It is not clear how the incident happened or the ultimate cause of it. There were no crossings nearby, according to reports. The southbound Orange County Line No. 684 was canceled due to the deadly crash and other trains were delayed for at least 30 minutes.
