Woman Killed in Overturned Vehicle Crash in Fresno County

 
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (February 13, 2019) – One person was killed, and two others were injured after a vehicle lost control and overturned Monday night on North Piedra Road near Elwood Road.
 
The incident befell around 9 p.m. near Avocado Lake. California Highway Patrol officers say three women were in one car when for unknown reasons it drove off the roadway, overturned and landed in a ditch.
 
The driver and one passenger were ejected from the vehicle. The driver was killed in the crash and the passenger sustained major injuries. Authorities say a third passenger who was wearing her seatbelt did survive yet declined medical treatment.
 
An investigation into this crash is underway.
