Man Dies in Fresno Pedestrian Accident near North Weber Avenue

 
FRESNO, CA (February 27, 2019) – Tuesday evening, an unidentified man was killed in a pedestrian accident near West Clinton Avenue.
 
Authorities received dispatch calls about the deadly accident around 10:45 p.m. Witnesses indicated that the truck was traveling on the road when a nearby pedestrian began stumbling into the roadway. Consequently, the driver of the truck was unable to stop in time and struck the pedestrian as a result.
 
The name of the victim has not been released but he was described as a man in his 40s.
 
State officials are also currently investigating this case to determine the circumstances. Furthermore, the surrounding area was closed for a brief time as crews worked to clean up and finalize preliminary investigation.
