Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck by Train in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (January 24, 2019) – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a train Thursday morning at East Shields and North Wishon avenues.
 
The fatal event happened around 2 a.m. Police are still trying to determine whether the victim knew the train was coming. The train conductor tried stopping and calling 911, but it was too late. The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
The crash caused a closure on North Maroa Avenue between North Wishon Avenues and Clinton.
