Pedestrian Hospitalized Following Fresno Collision
FRESNO, CA (December 11, 2018) – A pedestrian in his 50s was struck and injured by a hit-and-run minivan driver while walking near West Eden and South Teilman avenues.
The incident happened around 3 p.m. when the man was walking on the sidewalk near the intersection. Police believe the minivan driver who struck and seriously injured the pedestrian engaged in an intentional act before taking off from the scene.
The victim was shuttled to Community Regional Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
According to Lieutenant Michael Landon, Fresno Police, it could have been an argument that led to the incident, but an investigation is underway to determine the specific details.
Not long after, the driver of the minivan was located and detained for questioning.
