FRESNO, CA – Fatal 2-Car Crash on Avenue 9 at Children’s Boulevard

Two-Vehicle Collision Turns Deadly in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (January 30, 2019) – One motorist was killed, and another was injured following a two-vehicle crash on Avenue 9 at Children’s Boulevard Tuesday.
 
The crash happened around 3 p.m. and shut down Children’s Boulevard for two hours due to the investigation.
 
Authorities learned that a 65-year-old man was driving a silver Hyundai westbound on Children’s Boulevard at speeds of about 65 mph.
 
Witnesses informed officers that the driver was weaving in and out of traffic, trying to pass up slower vehicles, when it entered a curve and lost control, striking a brown Chevrolet SUV heading eastbound.
 
The unidentified driver in the Hyundai was pronounced dead at the scene and the 38-year-old woman in the SUV was brought to St. Agnes Medical Center with minor to moderate injuries.
