Pedestrian Hit, Killed by Driver in Fremont
FREMONT, CA (December 20, 2018) – A 33-year-old Mountain View man was fatally struck by a vehicle at Fremont and South Grimmer Boulevards Tuesday night.
Police reported that the crash happened around 10:05 p.m. Officers arrived and found paramedics already tending to the injured victim, who was suffering from major injuries. The unidentified patient died shortly after.
The 53-year-old Fremont woman who struck the pedestrian remained at the scene and was cooperative with investigators. It is not clear at this time whether the man was in a crosswalk. Drugs and alcohol have been ruled out as possible factors, and the driver did consent to an alcohol and drug test.
