67th Avenue Vehicle Crash Results in Fatality

Phoenix, AZ (December 03, 2021) – On Wednesday, a four-year-old boy sustained fatal injuries in a 67th Avenue vehicle crash.

It was about 7:30 p.m. when the fatal collision happened at the intersection with Highland Avenue, south of Camelback Road.

Investigators said a Chevy Corvette was southbound as it left the roadway and crashed into a tree.

The vehicle sustained heavy damage and the Phoenix Fire crews extricated the people inside it.

The male driver and a female passenger sustained serious but non-fatal injuries.

However, an unrestrained four-year-old boy who was sitting on the woman’s lap during the collision sustained serious injuries.

Immediately, they rushed the boy to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Officers consider speed as a factor in the incident.
