4 Wounded in Car Accident near Rainbow Valley Boulevard
SAN DIEGO, CA (December 5, 2018) – Four people were injured in a collision on 15 Freeway, early Wednesday morning.
According to California Highway Patrol Officer Tommy Doerr, the incident occurred about 6:20 AM in the northbound lanes of the highway, just south of Rainbow Valley Boulevard. As per reports, a Dodge SUV had rear-ended the trailer of the semi-truck, although the events leading up to the collision are unclear.
NCFPD spokesman, John Choi, stated that the North County Fire Protection District firefighters responded to the scene and freed one person who was stuck in a Dodge. All four occupants in the SUV were taken to Palomar Hospital. One suffered serious injuries, while the other three sustained minor injuries. There is no update on the identities and current medical conditions of the injured parties.
No additional information has been released to the public, as the investigation continues by authorities.
