People Hospitalized in Three-Vehicle Head-On Crash on Northern Avenue
Phoenix, AZ (October 12, 2020) – On Sunday, four people were injured in a three-vehicle head-on crash on Northern Avenue.
The accident took place at about 12:30 a.m. near 35th Avenue.
Phoenix Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Maggie Cox said a car traveling west on Northern Avenue crossed into the opposite lane of traffic and struck an SUV.
Then, the car continued traveling west and struck a second SUV in the area, Cox added.
Moreover, the rescuers rushed the 25-year-old car driver of the car to a hospital with fatal injuries.
Meanwhile, the authorities transported the 31-year-old man, and a 28-year-old woman from the second SUV to a hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the first SUV sustained minor injuries, said Cox.
Furthermore, the authorities have not yet determined if impairment was a factor. They are currently investigating the incident and did not identify any of the people involved.
