Police Investigate Fatal Crash on 17th Avenue and Bell Road in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (March 17, 2022) – Wednesday night, a woman died in a crash on 17th Avenue and Bell Road.

The fatal crash in Phoenix happened at around 8:45 p.m. on March 16.

Phoenix Police said a woman in her early 50s was crossing the street when an SUV struck her near 17th Avenue and Bell Road.

EMS took her to a hospital where she later died from her injuries.

Moreover, initial information suggests that the woman crossed Bell Road outside of a crosswalk when hit by the SUV.

The SUV driver remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment.

No other information is immediately available.

Further investigation into this fatal accident is ongoing.
