1 Killed in Olivehurst Accident on Highway 70 near McGowan Parkway

 
OLIVEHURST, CA (December 15, 2021) – Sunday afternoon, a father died in a crash on Highway 70 near McGowan Parkway.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 2:20 p.m. Moreover, it occurred on Highway 70, just south of McGowan Parkway.
 
Reports revealed that a 2005 Jeep traveling at a high rate of speed lost control. Then, it veered off the right side of the road and collided with a dirt barrier. The force of the crash pushed the vehicle to go airborne. Moreover, the vehicle rollover multiple times, ejecting the driver at the process.
 
Moreover, responders pronounced the 46-year-old Loma Rica man, a father to his three young passengers, dead at the scene. Paramedics transported the three young passengers of the vehicle to a hospital. The oldest sustained moderate injuries and the younger two boys suffered minor injuries.
 
Furthermore, officials said that the vehicle was traveling too fast for the rain-slicked road.
 
Meanwhile, authorities released the three young victims to the care of their mother.
 
Also, the incident remains under investigation.
