1 Dead, 5 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Fiery Crash in Conway
CONWAY, WA (May 1, 2019) – One person died Tuesday morning following a fiery multi-vehicle accident on the 5 Freeway near Highway 534.
According to Washington State Patrol, one person succumbed to his or her injuries and five others suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Evidence points out that a box truck failed to stop and crashed into a van before hitting several other vehicles.
Reports say at least eight cars were involved in the fiery accident.
The fatal victim was described as an occupant in the van, possibly the driver.
As a result of the crash, commuters faced nearly five miles of traffic due to all lanes being closed for hours.
It is unclear at this point where the fault lies or the cause of the collision. However, more on this crash is under investigation by authorities.
