WILMINGTON, CA (April 5, 2023) – Sunday afternoon, a fatal hit-and-run crash on Pacific Coast Highway killed 1 person in Wilmington.

The incident happened at around 5:20 p.m. on Pacific Coast Highway and Wilmington Boulevard.

According to reports, a westbound Scion xB struck a male pedestrian who was crossing the street against a solid red light in a marked crosswalk. Moments later, an unidentified westbound vehicle struck the pedestrian who was already down in the roadway, and then fled the scene.

Moreover, responders pronounced the 52-year-old victim, dead at the scene.

Furthermore, officers said that the suspect vehicle is best described as a dark-colored sedan.

Meanwhile, authorities asked anyone with information about the crash to call the LAPD South Traffic Division at 323-421-2500.
