Fabian Solorio and Miguel Pina Injured in Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash on Highway 128 [Lake Berryessa, CA]

1 Person Dead in Lake Berryessa Auto Accident on Highway 128 near St. Helena

LAKE BERRYESSA, CA (October 17, 2023) – Sunday morning, Fabian Solorio and Miguel Pina sustained injuries in a fatal single-vehicle crash on Highway 128.

The incident happened at around 5:00 p.m. on Highway 128, north of St. Helena.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a westbound 2006 BMW lost control for still unknown reasons, crashed down an embankment, and overturned before colliding with a tree.

Moreover, authorities confirmed that a 37-year-old man died in the incident. Then, paramedics airlifted 21-year-old passenger Solorio to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center with major injuries. Also, officers transported the 20-year-old driver, Pina, to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center with minor injuries.

Furthermore, officials arrested Pina on suspicion of DUI.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
