21-Year-Old Evodio Morales-Reyes Hospitalized in Highway 17 DUI Crash
Moses Lake, WA (February 26, 2021) – On Thursday, 21-year-old Evodio Morales-Reyes of Othello and three others were injured in a DUI crash on Highway 17.
Morales-Reyes was southbound in a 1990 Honda Civic when he failed to stop for the light at East Nelson Road.
His vehicle struck a 2012 Chevy Cruze driven by 22-year-old Vitalii Kuzhel of Moses Lake.
Right away, rescuers took Morales-Reyes, Kuzhel, and Kuzhel’s passenger, 20-year-old David Vorobey of Moses Lake to Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane. They suffered major injuries from the crash.
Similarly, responders also took Morales-Reyes’ passenger, 22-year-old Luis Rodriguez to a hospital in Moses Lake.
Meanwhile, an 18-year-old passenger in Kuzhel’s vehicle was not injured in the accident.
Moreover, authorities charged Morales-Reyes with driving under the influence and two counts of vehicular assault.
