Injuries Reported in Napa County DUI Accident on Silverado Trail near Taplin Road
NAPA COUNTY, CA (February 22, 2022) – Early Monday morning, Estrella Gomez Guerrero and four others sustained injuries in a crash on Silverado Trail.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 12:45 a.m. Moreover, it occurred on the southbound Silverado Trail north of Taplin Road.
Reports revealed that a southbound 2004 Honda lost control and veered off the roadway. Then, it collided with a metal guardrail into a barbed wire fence and struck a dirt and grass embankment.
Moreover, the American Medical Response ambulance rushed 18-year-old Estrella Gomez Guerrero to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center with major injuries. Also, paramedics transported a 19-year-old Napa man, an 18-year-old St. Helena woman, and the 17-year-old male driver of the vehicle with minor injuries.
Furthermore, officers detained the vehicle driver at the scene on suspicion of DUI.
Meanwhile, the incident remains under investigation.
