Emilio Castellanos Hurt in Fatal Crash on State Route 24 [Othello, WA]

Othello, WA (October 29, 2023) On Sunday afternoon, 21-year-old Emilio Castellanos was hurt in a fatal crash on SR 24 that claimed the life of 19-year-old Grace Vickers of Yakima.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the tragic 2-vehicle crash happened at about 3:40 p.m. on State Route 24 about 21 miles west of Othello.

Reports say that Vickers was driving an eastbound vehicle that drifted off the road towards the opposite lane. Officials say that Vickers overcorrected and collided with Castellanos westbound vehicle.

Officials pronounced Vickers dead at the scene, while medics rushed the injured Castellanos to the hospital. Authorities say that the extent of his injuries is not yet known at this time.
