Disastrous 2-Car Collision on Highway 160 Kills 2 [Sacramento County, CA]

Sacramento County, CA (May 13, 2024) Early Saturday morning, a horrific 2-car collision on Highway 160 left 2 people dead and several others hurt.

According to the CHP, the head-on crash happened at about 12:15 a.m. along Highway 160 at Sherman Island Road.

Reports say that a northbound grey Nissan SUV collided with a silver Lexus SUV. Officials say that the Nissan crossed into the northbound lane and caused the crash.

Authorities say that the driver and an adult female passenger were pronounced dead at the scene, while a 3-month-old baby and a 5-year-old child were rushed to the hospital.

Meanwhile, officials say that the driver of the Lexus suffered major injuries and was transported to an East Bay hospital.

Police are investigating the head-on crash and suspect alcohol may played a part in the crash.
