2 Dead, 1 Injured in Riverside Pedestrian Accident on Hayes and Roosevelt Street
RIVERSIDE, CA (March 16, 2022) – Tuesday afternoon, Eligia Del Rosario Morales and a baby died in a crash on Hayes and Roosevelt Street.
The accident happened at about 3:50 p.m. on Hayes Street and Roosevelt Street.
According to the preliminary investigation, a 46-year-old driver of a blue 2020 Vary Rover headed west on Hayes Street. As he turned onto Roosevelt Street, he hit all three pedestrians crossing the road.
As a result, 58-year-old Eligia Del Rosario Morales, as well as a baby, died at the scene. Moreover, another one sustained injuries and required hospitalization.
Moreover, the driver of the vehicle suffered no injuries and has been cooperative with the investigation.
Furthermore, the authorities do not believe that medication or alcohol played a role in the crash.
