Three Injured in Lucerne Valley Head-on Crash on Highway 18
LUCERNE VALLEY, CA (May 7, 2019) — Three people were hurt following a head-on collision in Lucerne Valley on Friday, May 3.
It occurred at 5:23 p.m. on Highway 18 in front of the Mitsubishi Cement Plant.
A black Dodge Ram and a white Dodge Dakota crashed head-on and left the passenger in the white vehicle trapped, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Firefighters rushed to the area and confirmed extrication is necessary on one person. Two other people sustained minor injuries.
They completely extricated the trapped person at around by 5:50, radio traffic reported.
County Helicopter H325 arrived at the scene and landed at the Mitsubishi Cement Plant. Paramedics airlifted the woman to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. An update on her condition was not immediately available.
CHP Victorville is investigating the reason behind the crash.
