Spokane, WA (April 12, 2021) – On Sunday, Elaina Rosales, a 37-year-old Nine Mile Falls woman, and a 9-year-old boy were injured in a DUI crash on North Spokane Corridor.
 
The accident happened at about 1:30 A.M.
 
Rosales was driving south on the highway northeast of Spokane when she drifted off the roadway and her vehicle rolled several times.
 
She was thrown from the vehicle while her 9-year-old boy passenger was able to climb out of the vehicle.
 
The boy was wearing a seatbelt during the accident. Rescuers took him to a local children’s hospital for injury treatment.
 
Officers said she was not wearing a seatbelt, and it is believed she was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
 
Meanwhile, officers said they are pursuing charges of vehicular assault against Rosales. Rosales was listed in critical condition late Sunday morning.
