Motorcycle and Car Collide on Appian Way in El Sobrante Leaving the Rider Badly Injured
EL SOBRANTE, CA (February 16, 2019) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured following a traffic collision Saturday afternoon in El Sobrante.
The collision happened around 3:36 p.m. at the intersection of Appian Way and Valley View Road, just near El Sobrante Junior High School.
According to the CHP, a black motorcycle and a blue Toyota Prius collided for unknown reasons. Firefighters along with paramedics responded to the scene and attended to the rider who suffered major injuries as a result of the crash.
The badly injured rider was then transported to Kaiser Permanente Richmond Medical Center in an unknown condition.
The Prius sustained major right side damage and was towed away from the wreckage along with the bike.
No immediately information was provided on the Prius’ driver.
The incident is still on active investigation while the authorities are putting the pieces together.
