Efren Murillo Tejeda of Quincy Dies in State Route 28 Rollover Crash [Quincy, WA]

Quincy, WA (January 18, 2022) – On Tuesday, 42-year-old Efren Murillo Tejeda of Quincy sustained fatal injuries in a State Route 28 rollover crash.

The WSP responded to the crash scene at around 11:40 a.m. about a mile west of Quincy.

When they arrived, they pronounced Tejeda dead and his 2006 Toyota Tacoma pickup was blocking the road.

Investigators said Tejeda did not notice the car in front of him slowing down to turn left. 

Apparently, Tejeda was traveling too fast to stop. 

He swerved to the right to avoid the oncoming vehicle and left the roadway.  Then, his vehicle overcorrected and rolled back onto the road.

Officers determined that Murillo Tejeda was not wearing a seatbelt during the accident.

Meanwhile, the authorities are investigating this fatal collision.
