Edward Vazquez of Corona Dies in Bicycle Crash on Citron Street [Corona, CA]

Corona, CA (January 15, 2022) – On Thursday, 13-year-old Edward Vazquez of Corona died in a bicycle crash on Citron Street.

The fatal bicycle crash took place at about 4:30 p.m. at the intersection with Lincoln Avenue.

Officers said Vazquez was riding his bike through the intersection when the sedan driver ran into him.

The unidentified driver immediately stopped and called the responders.

Right away, the emergency team took Vazquez to Riverside Community Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries less than an hour later.

Then, the authorities questioned but did not arrest the driver.

Meanwhile, the officers are still investigating this fatal incident. They said that alcohol or drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash.
