Edward Chabot of Leavenworth Injured in Collision on Highway 2 [Monitor, WA]

Monitor, WA (January 10, 2024) – 58-year-old Edward Chabot of Leavenworth and 42-year-old Jose Guerrero Varona of East Wenatchee were injured following a traffic collision on Highway 2 Tuesday morning.

It was past 7 a.m. when the 3-vehicle crash unfolded at milepost 114 near the intersection with Old Monitor Road.

Varona was driving a westbound Ford Explorer when he crossed the centerline and struck an eastbound Subaru Outback that also hit a pickup truck.

Guerrero Varona and the pickup truck driver, Chabot, sustained injuries from the collision. The authorities took them to Confluence Health Hospital in unknown condition.

Officers are investigating.
