Deadly DUI Pedestrian Accident on Winding Way Reported in Fair Oaks
FAIR OAKS, CA (July 23, 2019) – A man died in an alleged DUI pedestrian accident on Winding Way near Johnson Drive.
According to the California Highway Patrol, an adult male pedestrian was reportedly walking in the bike lane along Winding Way when a vehicle heading westbound struck him.
The unidentified victim died at the scene and the female driver involved remained on site and cooperated with police.
Following the incident, investigators determined that the woman showed signs of intoxication, which led to her arrest.
Police booked her into the Sacramento County Jail on charges of DUI. However, police did not release any additional information regarding the accident at this time. Authorities are continuing their investigation of this case to determine the events that led to the crash.
