Two DUI Drivers Injured in SUV – Sedan Crash on Elkhorn Boulevard
Sacramento, CA (November 28, 2020) – On Thursday, a man and a woman were seriously injured in a DUI crash on Elkhorn Boulevard.
The accident happened at about 3:40 a.m. when a 24-year-old woman driving on Diablo Drive ran a red light at Elkhorn Boulevard.
As a result, she crashed into a Dodge Ram 1500 driven by a 38-year-old man from Sacramento.
Officers said the woman incurred major life-threatening injuries while the Dodge driver incurred major injuries.
Rescuers took both drivers to Mercy San Juan for treatment of their injuries.
Meanwhile, CHP said both drivers are suspected of driving under the influence.
Additionally, two more drivers suspected of DUI tried to drive through the scene and one almost hit an officer. Both of them were arrested for DUI.
