1 Dead in Coalinga Car Accident on Jayne Avenue and Sutter Avenue

COALINGA, CA (March 7, 2022) – Saturday night, a male driver died in a two-vehicle crash on Jayne Avenue and Sutter Avenue.

The incident occurred at about 7:15 p.m. on Jayne Avenue, west of Sutter Avenue.

According to officials, two vehicles crashed when one of them drove across the centerline.

As a result, the man driving one of the vehicles succumbed to injuries. Meanwhile, responders airlifted his female passenger to the hospital.

Moreover, the male driver of the other vehicle was also airlifted. Then, his female passenger sustained minor injuries and required hospitalization.

According to investigators, speed played a role. However, they do not suspect drugs and alcohol as a factor involved in the crash.

Due to the limited information available, the crash remains under active investigation.
