Driver Injured in Rear-End Crash on Interstate 5 [Bellingham, WA]

Bellingham, WA (January 3, 2022) – On Saturday, a driver possibly sustained injuries in a rear-end crash on Interstate 5.

The authorities responded to an accident wherein a car collided with a barrier on the freeway’s northbound lanes near the Nulle Road interchange.

WSP Trooper Kelsey Harding said the driver in the crash was in the back of the patrol car to get out of the weather and stay warm. Then, the WSP patrol vehicle was rear-ended while blocking the left lane.

Harding added that there is a possible injury to the driver that was inside the trooper’s car.

The authorities arrested the driver of the rear-ending vehicle for DUI.
