Car Crashes After Shots Fired in Fresno
FRESNO, CA (January 21, 2020)—A driver was injured Monday night when he crashed his car into a building following a shootout at North Cedar and East Barstow avenues.
According to reports, Fresno police received word of a shootout around 12:30 a.m. Police arrived shortly after to investigate, yet only to find a vehicle that had crashed into a building that bore several bullet holes.
The driver suffered a gunshot wound and his two occupants fled the scene for unexplained reasons. Police believe the gun shots came from another car, which demands further investigation.
In terms of the crash, the driver said that he plowed his vehicle into the building after having heard a series of shots. Paramedics rushed him to a hospital for treatment.
