Driver Hospitalized in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 90 [Spokane, WA]

Spokane, WA (March 7, 2024) – A driver was injured and another was arrested following a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 90 Tuesday afternoon.

The traffic accident happened at about 4:30 p.m. near Division Street.

Officers aid a Ford Explorer driver was westbound on I-90 when he swerved left and struck another vehicle. Afterward, the Explorer crossed three lanes wherein he struck a barrier. The Explorer then was hit by another vehicle that was trying to avoid the scene.

The Explorer driver drove away from the scene but the authorities later arrested him on Highway 2 at Hayford Road in Airway Heights. 

One driver sustained injuries and was transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center.

Police said the Explorer driver is expected to face charges including DUI and felony hit and run.
