Driver Hospitalized in Highway 171 Fatal Collision [Cleburne, TX]

Cleburne, TX (April 29, 2023) – At around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, a driver sustained injuries in a Highway 171 fatal collision.

The Grandview Fire Department, Rio Vista Fire Department, AMR, and other multiple law enforcement officers responded to the head-on collision near CR 305 southeast of Cleburne.

Texas DPS said a 61-year-old Grandview woman was southbound when she suddenly veered into the opposite lanes and struck an oncoming vehicle. 

The woman died in the accident while the driver of the other vehicle was taken to a Fort Worth hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers are still investigating the incident.
