Frightening 2-Car Crash on Highway 43 Kills 2 People [Bakersfield, CA]

Bakersfield, CA (May 14, 2024) On Monday morning, a man and a 69-year-old woman died after a 2-car crash on Highway 43.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal head-on collision happened at about 3:34 a.m. on Highway 43 north of Pond Road.

Reports say that the crash involved a northbound Honda and a southbound Dodge. Officials say that the driver of the Honda veered to the left causing a head-on collision with the Dodge.

Officials pronounced the driver of the Honda and a female passenger of the Dodge was declared dead at the scene as well.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Dodge and 2 of their passengers were rushed to the hospital.

Authorities are investigating the head-on collision and have not released additional information at this time.
