PHOENIX, AZ (December 13, 2020) – Wednesday night, a driver fled after a fiery crash on 16th Street and Southern Avenue in Phoenix.
 
According to reports, Phoenix police officers attempted to stop a white Hyundai sedan just after 9:00 p.m. This happened near 16th Street and Baseline Road, said Sgt. Andy Williams.
 
However, the car failed to stop and officers didn’t chase it. However, the officers located the vehicle that had crashed into a home on 16th Street and Southern Avenue.
 
They also confirmed that the driver was no longer available.
 
Moreover, the incident sparked a fire that engulfed the house.
 
Thus, firefighters came to the area and took hose lines inside “for an aggressive search, rescue, and fire attack.”
 
Also, the homeowner managed to go out of the home. Furthermore, the authorities confirmed that firefighters didn’t suffer any injury.
 
At this time, the authorities are still searching for the vehicle driver.
 
Furthermore, the authorities continue to investigate the incident.
