1 Person Perishes in Millbrae Fiery Accident on 280 Freeway

 
MILLBRAE, CA (January 23, 2020) — A Tuesday afternoon fiery accident on 280 Freeway near Trousdale Drive claimed a driver’s life.
 
The tragic incident unfolded around 1:50 p.m. According to California Highway Patrol Officer Art Montiel, a driver of a pickup truck veered off the road, struck a tree and a light pole before the truck caught on fire.
 
The unidentified driver died in the crash.
 
Authorities are seeking factors that might have contributed to the deadly incident and believe wet road conditions might have played a role.
 
CHP officers closed the right southbound lane of the 280 Freeway as a result of the investigation.
