Driver Dies in Crash With FedEx Truck on Corbin Avenue Near Sherman Way [Los Angeles, CA]

Fatal Collision Involving FedEx Truck in Los Angeles

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (December 12, 2019)—A pickup truck that collided with a FedEx vehicle on Corbin Avenue near Sherman Way Wednesday left a driver dead.
 
The incident happened around 6:50 a.m. in the 7000 block of Corbin Avenue.
 
According to Los Angeles Police Department Sgt. McElween, the driver, who was parked along the curb, began making a U-turn when he reportedly failed to see an oncoming FedEx vehicle traveling on his side of the street.
 
As a result, the FedEx truck rammed into the pickup’s driver side, causing fatal injuries to its driver.
 
Paramedics arrived and pronounced the pickup truck driver dead at the scene. According to LAPD, the driver of the FedEx suffered only minor injuries.
 
Authorities plan to investigate the liabilities and circumstances of the crash further.
