1 Killed and 1 Injured in San Jose Accident on Interstate 280 near 7th Street

 
SAN JOSE, CA (February 17, 2022) – Tuesday night, a driver died in a fiery crash on Interstate 280 near 7th Street in San Jose.
 
According to California Highway Patrol Officer Ross Lee, the incident happened at around 10:50 .m. Moreover, it occurred on northbound Interstate 280, north of 7th Street.
 
Reports revealed that a northbound white pickup truck traveled at a high rate of speed. Then, it swerved to the right and rear-ended another vehicle. Meanwhile, the pickup continued driving across the lanes and veered off the roadway. Then, it struck a tree on a bushy slope and erupted into the fire after the incident.
 
Moreover, responders pronounced the male driver of the pickup dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics transported a female passenger of the truck to a hospital with unknown injuries.
 
Furthermore, authorities closed Margaret Way to give way to the investigation.
