Head-On Crash on Eagles Nest Road in Sacramento Turns Fatal
SACRAMENTO, CA (January 24, 2020)—Wednesday’s head-on collision along Eagles Nest Road near Jackson Highway left a woman dead and five students injured.
According to reports, the two vehicles collided around 7:30 a.m. during slick roads and poor visibility weather conditions.
In their investigation, police learned that the sole occupant of a silver Hyundai Sonata, traveling northbound, crashed into a gray hybrid vehicle carrying five students. The students were on their way to Pleasant Grove High School in Elk Grove before the collision ensued.
Due to their injuries, paramedics transported them to UC Davis Medical Center and Kaiser South, with two of them in critical trauma while the other three in normal condition.
The woman—the Hyundai Sonata driver—whose name has yet to be released perished in the crash. According to officers, she might have had tried veering from the northbound lane to the southbound lane for unclear reasons.
Neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be a contributing source of the accident, but authorities plan to investigate this further.
In light of this incident, our law firm would like to send our heartfelt sympathies to the family and friends of the victim.
