Douglas Nelson Detained After Hitting Man on Wofford Boulevard Near East Evans Road
WOFFORD HEIGHTS, CA (February 14, 2020)—On Wednesday, Paramedics ushered a pedestrian to the hospital after a driver deliberately struck him on Wofford Boulevard near East Evans Road.
Deputies initially responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon around 8:11 a.m. Once they arrived in the 6500 block of Wofford Boulevard, police found the pedestrian with major injuries.
Paramedics soon joined authorities at the scene to bring the injured man to a nearby hospital.
During the investigation, local authorities determined that Douglas Nelson deliberately used his vehicle to strike the man.
The reasons remain unknown and demand further investigation. As a result, officers arrested the 36-year-old on the 8000 block of Deerbrush Avenue in South Lake.
Nevertheless, the name of the victim was not included in the report.
